The Stargazer Foundation has launched the BE REALLY READY campaign to encourage people to use new methods to be safer, simply, right now. This campaign is an example of harnessing the power of the Web for social good.

The first thrust of the BE REALLY READY campaign is the Stargazer Safety Kit, a package of downloadable forms you can use to record and store the critical information that you will need in an emergency on your own computer. Stargazer Safety Kits are provided as a free public service.

We don't like to think about it, but disasters and weather-related events happen every day. So, if you do nothing else today, please take the time to help yourself, and then your groups and organizations, by recording and protecting your critical own information. No one else can do it for you!

DirectoryXpress To Distribute Stargazer Notifier Service to Schools in North East Florida and New Jersey. The Stargazer Notifier Service Will Enable School Administrators to Send Text Messages to Groups of Students, Parents, Staff, First Responders and Others in the Community.

JACKSONVILLE, FL. DirectoryXpress and the nonprofit Stargazer Foundation have announced a partnership to provide Stargazer's Notifier service to public and private schools in the Jacksonville area and in New Jersey. Using this service, schools will now be able to send instantaneous text message alerts and notifications from a computer to designated groups of mobile phone users. DirectoryXpress is a partner in Stargazer's national BE REALLY READY safety campaign, which helps local schools, businesses and families better prepare for, and respond to, emergency situations.
