Stargazer knows safety. Originally aimed at children and learning, since 9/11 and Hurricane Katrina, Stargazer has focused its resources on helping others better prepare for, and respond to, a disaster. Stargazer's award-winning services have been used by the Washington Metropolitan Council of Governments and the American Red Cross, among many others.

As technology and needs have evolved, Stargazer has adapted and developed new services to help people be better prepared, right now! While governments and large organizations like the Red Cross provide important information, Stargazer provides practical services that actually help people take action to Get Organized, Take Control, Be Informed and Stay in Touch in time of emergency or disaster.

The Stargazer BE REALLY READY campaign promotes the need to prepare in advance of a crisis, using simple forms and other Web services. The "learn and do" approach of Stargazer enables users to apply simple technology to protect essential information, to alert others about an emergency situation, and to track people and materials.

A decade ago, Stargazer was founded on the basis of helping others learn and grow, using advanced technologies and services. Since that time, even when changing times have dictated different priorities, the Stargazer team has fostered the desire to help others become better informed and better educated.

More recently, Stargazer has re-entered the broad field of learning by offering notification and tracking services to public and private schools. Still in its early stages, this crossover from safety to learning is exciting early users. These services demonstrate the benefits of applying Web and mobile technology services to keep children safer and to combine the use of computers and mobile devices for learning purposes.

Stargazer is now working with schools in several states to deploy new services and to build a solid foundation for expansion. At the same time, Stargazer is seeking sponsors, distributors and additional service providers to enrich the range and depth of services that can be offered to expand learning applications.
